The Origin of All

In our day, the question of origin has entered into a very technical debate.  Through the flurry, God's creation stands as an valid explanation to human existence addressing the issues of origin category by category.  While limited in detail, the Bible points to God as the ultimate originator.  Since God is the author of both creation and revelation, the ultimate agreement of the facts in nature and the Genesis text will be found.  An example which shows much promise in this area is the recent discovery of the decrease in the speed of light (more detail).

The Identity of His Creation

God's work of creation not only addresses the question of origin, but it is the basis of human identity, meaning, and purpose.  To begin with, our identity is found in God who created humanity in His own image (Gen 1:26):

The identity of nature and angelic beings also stems from God's work of creation.  Christianity depicts human identity in proportions and boundaries that fit (more detail).

The Source of Meaning in Life

Freewill, responsibility, values and morals find their roots in the character of God and His creation.  In the beginning a single moral standard preserved meaning in life.  After humanity's fall from perfection, meaning became polarized to the oppressive right and rebellious left.  God's law now reestablishes spiritual priority and social stability on all levels (more detail).

How does the infinite God see human freewill, responsibility, imperfection and suffering? God's oversight of history involves both control and permission (more detail).  God permitted the fall of humanity and suffering and death resulted.  But God also extended His faithfulness and mercy by preserving humanity and nature.  While difficult, suffering can be a pathway to discover God or deepen our relationship with Him (more detail).

The Purpose of Life

Purpose in life finds its roots in that we are made to reflect God's image and glorify Him in all that we do.  From the beginning (Gen 1:28), we were made to have relationships with God, humanity and nature (more detail).

As you can see, God's work of creation is the basis of all existence and meaning in life.
