Historical & Scientific Facts
History & science rely on a common data base of facts in the physical world.
While the factual data base is the same, their emphasis is different.
History utilizes 7 fact gathering questions to understand past events.
Science observes 7 parameters of nature to understand physical phenomena.
Historical Conclusions
The sixth & seventh observations of history converge on causality & purpose
In this way, history works from recording facts to the analysis of principles.
Causality & purpose are ultimately understood in light God's providence.

Scientific Conclusions
The conclusions of experimental science converge on the question of "how."
Science seeks how elements of nature interact in causal relationships.
In this way, science works from data to the principles holding them together.
The conclusions of scientific method are separated into 3 confidence levels:
Hypothesis - initial interpretation or guess.
Theory - general explanation of phenomena.
Law - widely observed explanation which will predict.
Science often ventures into the philosophical realm pursuing the question why.
