Nothing Too Difficult for an Infinite God

Openness
Anti-supernaturalism sees no possibility of a supernatural being.
This a popular view in society today.
Genuine openness, however, will consider the possibility of the supernatural.
Ordinary & Exceptional Ways
The Biblical God interacts with his world in both ordinary & exceptional ways.
His ordinary ways encompass cause & effect, natural laws & so forth.
God's exceptional ways include miracles.
Whether ordinary or exceptional, God is at the source of the activity.
An Infinite God of Miracles
The God of the Bible is infinite in mind & will (Ps 147:5, Num 11:23).
Nothing is beyond His understanding & power (Jer 32:17).
A God who created the universe could perform the other miracles of the Bible.
Scientific & Historical Evidence
Scientific proof relies on repeating an event in a controlled lab environment.
Observations are made, data is taken & hypotheses are empirically verified.
Scientific method can only be used to prove repeatable things.
Science is not adequate to verify many things & events in history.
Examples: "Did Caesar exist?" or "Was George Washington a US president?"
Legal-historical proof shows that something is fact beyond a reasonable doubt.
A verdict is reached based on the weight of evidence.
It relies on three types of testimony: oral, written & exhibits.
Historical events can exist without scientific demonstration of their causes.
Evidence of the Supernatural & Miraculous
Most Biblical miracles can be contested by the skeptic.
It is difficult to prove the parting of the Red Sea, the virgin birth, etc.
Miracles are unique & it is difficult to prove or disprove them with science.
It is presumptuous to demand a timely miracle of God to satisfy an experiment.
The supernatural & miraculous claims of the Bible can be verified historically.
Two major miracles, prophecy & the resurrection, can be readily examined.
These two miracles can be reexamined & verified at any time in history.
Miracles can be accepted with the confirmation of prophecy & the resurrection.
