Need and Worldview

Humanity's quest for meaning is ancient.  From antiquity, both natural and supernatural  worldviews have been sought to satisfy this need for meaning.  Everyone believes something and fits into one of these groups.  A vast spectrum of worldviews have come forth over the millennium.

Need and Seven Questions of Life

While many of us may not have considered it, our worldview meets some of the deep needs of our soul.  So just what are some of our basic needs for meaning?  The probing questions of life help to expose this.  Over the years, philosophy (the love of wisdom) has formalized these questions.  Any worldview can be measured against the basic questions of life.  These questions are a common starting point for each individual.  Jesus claimed that recognizing one's personal need was essential for both unbelievers and believers (Mt 9:10-13, Jn 12:24-25, Rev 3:14-19).  Your personal need may be a reason you have begun this study.

A Quest for Meaning

"A Quest for Meaning" shows how the Christian faith fulfills human need in these areas.  Is there a spiritual reality beyond the physical?  The Bible claims the spiritual world is more real than the physical.  Let us be open to both the claims of Christianity and the evidences for it.
